Quantum Music and Event Planners is a full scale event planning company located in the Bay Area of California, only 30 miles from San Francisco. Owners Jason and Kit Shires are a husband and wife team that have used over 25 years of experience to create a staff of trained professionals who specialize in providing services within their areas of expertise including event lighting, wedding coordination, wedding photography audio/ visual presentations and bay area wedding dj services.

At QMEP, we pride ourselves on adjusting and adapting to our clients. We do not sell "personalities". I'm not going to tell you "If you like latin music, I have the perfect DJ for you, this guy loves latin music!". All of our DJs know latin music. It's their job to know latin music. If you want latin music played at your event, we will certainly play latin music. The same principals apply to our wedding photography. If you want more of the candid photos than formal photos, then that's what we will do. Our wedding photographers can shoot any style and will perform whatever style you prefer.

Let's face it, not everyone is cut out to be a great dj, be a professional master of ceremonies and give excellent customer service. What we do is a little bit different than most of your typical wedding dj services. For this reason, Quantum Music does not keep a ton of DJs on staff. We do however have a hand full of Professional DJs that have been personally trained and certified by Jason Shires. QMEP DJs go through 40 hours of training before ever stepping up to a microphone or spinning at an event. They have completed a training program that includes beat matching, emcee skills, wedding etiquette, wedding coordinating and sound engineering. They also learn, what we like to call the Main 15 Genres of Music; (Big Band/Swing, Blues, Classical, Country, Disco, Hip-Hop, House, Jazz, Latin/Ethnic, Pop, Rap, Reggae, Rock, Soul, and World).

We do not give Demos or invite potential clients to "see us in action" at another event. A Demo is not personal. It can not sufficiently cover everything we do in a short amount of time and is therefore useless. It would also put us in a box. Which leads to why we don't invite potential clients to visit our events. Perception is reality for most people. Viewing a demo or seeing a performance would automatically take away from the fact that we design every event specifically to meet our client's wishes.

People see something and think..."Oh, that's what they do". Also, it can be uncomfortable for our "already" client to have someone wander into their wedding party, technically uninvited. So out of respect for their privacy, we simply will not do it.

We like to meet our clients face to face. We find this way is more personal and what event is more personal than your wedding. Also, we want to make sure it is a good fit for everyone. That's right. We do not take every event that comes our way. We want to put our professionals and our client's in the best situation for success.

Getting started is easy. You can visit our bay area office or call and speak with one of our event specialists today to scheudule a personal consultation. A consultation is only about 30 minutes, there is absolutely no obligation and it is completely FREE! We will present our services, answer any questions you have and go over the details of your event with you.

Come see our stuff! Our office is also a showroom. Consultations held in our office allow you to view our DJ Equipment, Lighting, Photo Gallery and Audio/Visual Equipment on display. It also allows us to give you a brief demonstration. Our office is located in historic downtown Benicia at 739 1st Street. Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday 11am to 7pm with weekends by appointment only. However, appointments can be scheduled outside of our norml hours for your convenience.

We hold an Open House Showcase a couple of times each month at our office. Although there is less one on one time available due to attendance, it is a great opportunity to learn more about our services, get some helpful tips for your event and possibly be our next lucky winner.
